Hi I'm Lucas (HyruleTrashbag),

And I participated in the GMTK game Jam at 11:00 O'clock in the morning of 12 June. I myself have participated in a game jam before but failed misseribly cuz of to much focus on 1 part of the game I was making the art and lack of knowledge in the engine I was using.

But now back to this Jam, I was busy the first day so I only started saterday I grabed the theme anauncement and I started working relaxed and non stop till 1 in the morning the next day (of coarse with dinner in between). The theme was ofcoarse joined together. My choice was quickly made make a sad love story where the two player positions are joined together. I chose this because I already knew enough of the engine to make two seperate locations in the same place. I knew this because I was working on my side game that I'm planning to sell, used a lott of figuring out how the godot tilemap worked. But the problem that I was instanly running into was the player physics. In my own game I made this in a day with a tutorial so I hadn't practiced it at all, but luckely it where some quick fixes (didn't nearly rage quit at all because of some stupid beginner mistakes *sarcasticly*).

After that I had some difficulty in some minor stuff like how to turn of the tilemap collisions and getting to know how lighting works in godot. But besides this I was making the art what was a good learning moment about how to use color pallets and me making my first ever custom playable karakters. In the end this all took alot of time ofcoarse. And wasn't able to make a compleetly finished game, but I will be finishing it be cause I had a lot of fun making it and I thought when comepleted will make a good game.

Thank you for reading! And have a nice day,

 Lucas (HyruleTrashbag)

PS - next Devlog I will wright about my game design choices and any later bugfixing!
